Nevada Residential Energy-Efficient
Consumer Products Rebate Program

Southwest Gas residential customers in Nevada may be eligible to receive rebates on the purchase and installation of NEW high-efficiency natural gas water heaters, clothes washers, natural gas clothes dryers, programmable thermostats, and smart low-flow showerheads. These high-efficiency measures can help you save money by reducing your natural gas bill.

Application Details
Rebates are available for purchases made November 1, 2009 through November 30, 2011 or until program funds are no longer available, whichever comes first. Due to limited funding, please submit your rebate application as soon as possible after purchase. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications must be postmarked by December 15, 2011.

Eligible Equipment, Requirements, and Rebate Levels

Natural Gas Tankless Water Heater EF 0.82 and greater; less than 200,000 btu/hour input $200
     
Clothes Washer Tier 1 Energy Star® qualified; Modified Energy Factor (MEF) between 1.80 and 1.99; and Water Factor (WF) less than or equal to 7.5; natural gas water heater installed in household $50
     
Clothes Washer Tier 2 Energy Star® qualified; MEF greater than or equal to 2.0; and WF less than or equal to 6.0; natural gas water heater installed in household $100
     
Natural Gas Clothes Dryer Model must have a moisture sensor. $30
     
Programmable Thermostat Four program periods per day; natural gas furnace installed in household $20
     
Smart Low-Flow Showerhead Showerstart Technology: Evolve Stargazer and Roadrunner models; natural gas water heater installed in household $30

Some equipment may also qualify for a federal tax credit* and/or state rebate*.

Natural Gas Storage Water Heaters
High efficiency natural gas storage water heaters are an easy choice for energy savings, performance, and reliability. If you need a new gas storage water heater, ask for one that has an Energy Factor of at least 0.62 and start saving money. How Do I Apply For Rebates?

To determine equipment eligibility prior to purchase, and to obtain a rebate application, please visit www.conservationrebates.com*, or call 1-866-802-7790.

Required Documents
Along with the completed, signed rebate application that includes your Southwest Gas account number, please submit a copy of your invoice(s) (or receipt) that lists where the equipment was purchased, the date(s) of purchase, and model number(s). Note: Equipment must be installed prior to the payment of any rebate. Southwest Gas reserves the right to verify both the efficiency and installation of equipment before rebate is issued.

Processing Time for Rebate
Please allow 6-8 weeks to receive your rebate(s).

Program Eligibility & Limitations

  • All qualifying equipment must be installed in a Nevada residential customer home receiving natural gas from Southwest Gas.
  • Rebates are limited to new equipment only; leased, used or rebuilt equipment is not eligible.
  • Any individual rebate amount cannot exceed the purchase price of the new equipment.
  • Rebates are limited to a maximum of two for each equipment type per customer per year (excluding natural gas tankless water heaters). Rebates are subject to the program's limitations.
  • Offer not valid in conjunction with other utility rebates for the same end-use product.
  • New home builders may be eligible to participate in the natural gas tankless water heater rebate. For more information, click here.
