The company’s employee volunteer team Blue - Building Lives Up Everywhere will then distribute the coats free of charge to children, adults and families throughout the community to help them keep warm during the colder months. "Southwest's Blue volunteer team includes employees and retirees who care about their neighbors and community," said Vicki Durand, lead customer specialist at the company. "Our annual Coat Drive also includes students from Victor Elementary and Apple Valley school districts, along with members of the business community, who want to reach out and help as well. It's an event that's about the community coming together, and it's about neighbor helping neighbor," she added. Convenient drop-off locations for new and clean, gently used coats for men, women and children can be made during business hours at the following locations: Southwest Gas, 13471 Mariposa Rd., Victorville Alaska Federal Credit Union, 16869 Main St., Hesperia Alaska Federal Credit Union, 15961 Apple Valley Rd., Apple Valley Alaska Federal Credit Union, 12600 Amargosa Rd., Victorville Alaska Federal Credit Union, 15403 Anacapa Rd., Victorville Alaska Federal Credit Union, 19111 Town Center Dr., Apple Valley Apple Valley Physical Therapy, 18095 Hwy 18 Suite C, Apple Valley GE, 18000 Phantom W., Victorville Lina’s Cleaners, 16137 Green Tree Blvd., Victorville Town of Apple Valley - Town Hall, 14955 Dale Evans Pkwy., Apple Valley Walmart, 11896 Amargosa Rd., Victorville The coats will be distributed free of charge to the community on Saturday, Oct. 27, 8 am-10 am, Southwest Gas Auditorium, 13471 Mariposa Road, Victorville.
