SOUTHWEST GAS SPONSORS
15th ANNUAL WINTER COAT DRIVE
SHARE THE WARMTH - DONATE A COAT
Big Bear, Calif. - Southwest Gas invites the Big Bear community to share the warmth this winter season by donating new and gently used coats to its 15th annual Winter Coat Drive taking place now through Oct.18. The company’s employee volunteer team Blue - Building Lives Up Everywhere will then distribute the coats free of charge to children, adults and families throughout the community to help them keep warm during the colder months.
"This is the 15th year for our annual Winter Coat Drive, and we know we can count on the community and our Blue employee volunteer team to make this another successful year," said Don Grey, construction inspector, Southwest Gas and coordinator of this year's event. "We're thankful for the support we continue to receive so that we can provide free coats to help keep our neighbors warm during the cold weather," he added.
Convenient drop-off locations for new and clean, gently used coats for men, women and children can be made during business hours at the following locations throughout Big Bear:
- Southwest Gas, 40844 Big Bear Blvd., Big Bear Lake
- Alaska Federal Credit Union, 42171 N. Big Bear Blvd. (Big Bear Lake/Lakeview Ctr.)
- Mom and Dad Project, 1221 E. Big Bear Blvd., Big Bear City
- Vons, 42170 Big Bear Blvd., Big Bear Lake
The coats will be distributed free to the community on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 9:00 am-5:00 pm, at Southwest’s new Business Office, 140 Business Center Drive, Big Bear Lake.
Southwest Gas serves nearly 1.9 million natural gas customers in Arizona, California and Nevada.
