Earthquake Cake

1 c. shredded coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
1 box cake mix (chocolate or German chocolate)
1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9x13" glass baking dish.

Stir together all of the coconut and pecans and layer the bottom of the baking dish with this mixture.

Prepare the boxed cake mix per directions and pour cake batter over nuts and coconut.

Combine butter, powdered sugar, and cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Beat until smooth. Mixture will be stiff. Drop this mixture by tablespoon over top of cake mix. Bake cake for 30 to 35 minutes.

Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.
