Jello Cookies

3 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 t. baking powder
4 t. salt
4 t. vanilla
8 eggs
10 c. flour

Mix all ingredients together - dough will appear soft and somewhat greasy. Divide dough into 4 sections and put into 4 bowls.

4 - 3 oz. boxes Jello (different flavors)

Mix one flavor of Jello into each of the 4 bowls, stirring to mix. Roll into about 1-1/2" balls. Roll each ball in powdered sugar and bake at 350° until done. Cookies will lose the glossy look, the tops will crack a little and begin to brown around the bottom edges.

The recipe can be easily divided down and made into fewer flavors. Additionally, it is suggested to add food color to each flavor to intensify color.
