SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE

1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1cup sour cream
12 ounces chocolate chips or toffee bits or dried fruit
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

For batter: cream butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and sour cream. Add dry ingredients and chips, mix well. Pour half of the batter into a 10-inch greased and floured pan.

Topping:
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup chopped nuts

Mix topping ingredients together. Add half of the topping mixture into pan. Add remaining batter. Then top with remaining topping mixture. Bake at 350 Fahrenheit for 50-55 minutes.
