A Culinary Institute of America (CIA) graduate, Chef Alan Zeman
has chef experience in restaurants, catering, private clubs, hotels,
and resorts. Chef Zeman markets nationwide his own gourmet product
line of Southwestern Originals. Fuego Restaurant Bar and Grill opened
in January 1996 under the ownership of Alan and his wife, Miki.
Originally from Chicago, Chef Zeman has had numerous television
appearances both nationally and locally, including PBS Great Chefs
of the West. He appears live monthly on CBS channel 13 KOLD series
"What's for lunch?" Hosts "the Dinner Hour"
KTKT radio show and is a weekly co-host on the Bert Lee show.
Chef Zeman has also been featured in numerous magazines and cookbooks,
such as "Bon Appetit" and the CIA "Burgermeister
Cookbook" He also authors a quarterly column for the "Arizona
Gourmet Magazine." Inducted into the American Academy of Chefs
(AAC) in 1992, he was also voted "Chef of the Year" by
the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Chef's Association of Southern
Arizona in 1980 and 1993.
