Equal Payment Plan (EPP)

EPP is a convenient program for residential customers that can assist those on a fixed income or who want to budget monthly expenses by providing a fixed monthly payment. The EPP monthly payment amount is based on the prior year’s average annual usage divided into 12 monthly payments. There is no obligation to enroll and the plan can be canceled at any time.

EPP offers a fixed amount that is determined by the estimated annual gas usage of your home. The EPP annual amount is calculated by applying the current rate category to the most recent 12 months of consumption history at the premise to determine the EPP amount for the year. It is then reviewed every quarter (three, six, and nine months), and the amount may be adjusted up or down depending on gas use.

EPP settles annually. The settlement month is 12 months from the enrollment (anniversary) date and calculates the difference between the estimated use at the time of enrollment and the actual gas used while on the program. The gas bill will continue to show the exact utility charge(s) and the normal amount due. The “EPP” amount will display in the “Please Pay Amount Due” section on your bill.
You can enroll online at swgas.com by simply logging into your MyAccount and selecting Equal Payment Plan under Billing. You may enroll at any time during the year with a current gas bill.
