Caldor Fire Evacuations

9/15/2021 6:30 PM CHRISTMAS VALLEY UPDATE: Southwest Gas crews are completing their final pass through the area to relight customers impacted by the Caldor Fire evacuations. Starting now, customers who remain without service should call the number on the door tag left behind to set up arrangements for their gas service to be turned on.  We thank you for your support and patience as we work to restore natural gas service to the area.
 
9/14/2021 6:30 PM CHRISTMAS VALLEY UDPATE: Southwest customers can visit our Customer Care  Team at the Holiday Market at 2977 US-50 in South Lake Tahoe throughout the day tomorrow, Sept. 15, to begin the process to re-establish service to their properties impacted by the Caldor Fire evacuations. 9/13/2021: 7 PM CHRISTMAS VALLEY UPDATE: Southwest Gas crews continue to restore service to customers impacted by the Caldor Fire evacuations. Customers can visit our Customer Care Team at the Holiday Market at 2977 US -50 in South Lake Tahoe tomorrow, Sept. 14, S, from 8 AM- 6 PM to start the process to safely re-establish natural gas service. 9/12/2021- 1:40 PM CHRISTMAS VALLEY UPDATE: Southwest Gas is working to restore natural gas service to the Christmas Valley area. Crews will be located throughout the area relighting accounts that had been turned off due to Caldor Fire evacuations. Customers can also visit our Customer Care Team at the Holiday Market at 2977 US -50 in South Lake Tahoe today until 7 PM to start the process to safely re-establish their natural gas service. As a reminder, crews will need to access your natural gas appliances and will have proper identification. Someone 18 years or older must be present during the relight process. Thank you for your patience.
 
9/11/2021- 7:30 PM NORTH UPPER TRUCKEE UPDATE: Customers in the North Upper Truckee area, north of Highway 50, who turned their natural gas service off before evacuating the area for the Caldor Fire are requested to come to our Customer Care Team starting at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Sunday, September 12 at the Holiday Market at 2977 US -50 in South Lake Tahoe. Southwest Gas will be on hand to start the process to safely re-establish natural gas service to your property. We thank you for your patience.
 
09/05/2021 - 3:25 PM SOUTH LAKE TAHOE UPDATE: As mandatory evacuations are lifted and residents return to the South Lake Tahoe area who may have turned off their gas service as a precaution, we ask residents and businesses to please first contact Southwest Gas at 877-860-6020 before taking any further action. Doing this will allow us to schedule one of our technicians to come out and have your gas service restored.

Doing this will allow us to schedule one of our technicians to come out and have your gas service restored.
 
 
Mandatory evacuations have been issued for areas we serve in Eldorado County. For safety reasons, natural gas service has been turned off in the Christmas Valley area off Highway 89, south of Highway 50. Safety is our top priority and we urge those who live in that area to follow all instructions provided by local fire officials.
