Odorant Level Restored in Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Golden Shores, AZ
UPDATE 08/14/2026 7:40 AM: Southwest Gas has successfully restored odorant levels to normal throughout the previously affected portions of our natural gas system serving customers in Bullhead City and surrounding areas, including Fort Mohave and Golden Shores.
We also encourage customers to review the signs of a natural gas leak. A natural gas leak can be detected by:
- A distinct sulfur-like odor, similar to rotten eggs, even if faint or momentary
- An unusual hissing or roaring sound coming from the ground or an appliance
- Blowing dirt, bubbling water, or discolored plants or grass near natural gas infrastructure or pipeline markers

08/13/2026 1:10 PM: Southwest Gas is currently experiencing lower-than-normal odorant levels in portions of our natural gas system serving customers in Bullhead City and surrounding areas, including Fort Mohave and Golden Shores. We are actively working to resolve the issue.
Because safety remains our highest priority, we want to make customers aware of the situation and let them know that we are conducting leak patrols throughout the area as an added precaution.
