Decoupling and Delivery Charge Adjustment Provision (DCA)

The DCA specifies the accounting procedures and rate setting adjustments necessary to assure the Utility neither over-recovers, nor under-recovers, the margin-per-customer amounts authorized in its most recent general rate case proceeding. 
 

Graham County Utilities Acquisition

On April 23, 2021, Graham County Utilities, Inc. (GCU) and Southwest Gas Corporation (SWG) filed a joint application with the Arizona Corporation Commission for approval to transfer assets of GCU to SWG and to extend SWG’s Certificate of Convenience and Necessity. Arizona Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Resource Technology Portfolio Implementation Plan (Docket No. G-01551A-21-0186)

On June 1, 2021, Southwest Gas filed an application with the Arizona Corporation Commission requesting approval of an Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Resource Technology Portfolio Implementation Plan for Program Years 2022-2023, which was designed in accordance with the Gas Utility Energy Efficiency Standards set forth in Sections R14-2-2501 through R14-2-2520 of the Arizona Administrative Code.

2019 Arizona Base Rate Adjustment Request

In 2019, Southwest Gas filed a proposed $90 million rate adjustment with the Arizona Corporation Commission. In December, Southwest Gas received approval to increase rates by $36.7 million. To learn more, check out Invested in Arizona
