The Energy Assistance Program provides an annual one-time per year benefit, or fixed annual credit, paid directly to the energy provider, and is administered by the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS).
The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) reduces energy costs for low-income families, particularly for the elderly, people with disabilities and children by improving the energy efficiency of their homes while ensuring their health and safety. The WAP is administered by the Nevada Housing Division (NHD).
If you can demonstrate a hardship and have outstanding bills, our deferred payment plan allows you to pay your bill over an extended period of time. This program gives you an opportunity to obtain assistance before service is discontinued. We also make referrals to government or local social service agencies.
