Whether you own or rent your residence, the Energy Savings Assistance (ESA) program is a great way to increase the energy efficiency of your home. It provides income-qualified customers with money-saving improvements at no cost.
California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) Program
You may qualify for the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) program. The CARE program provides a discount on monthly gas bills to income-qualified customers at their primary residence. CARE eligibility is determined by the total gross household income and number of people living in the residence.
If you can demonstrate a hardship and have outstanding bills, our deferred payment plan allows you to pay your bill over an extended period of time. This program gives you an opportunity to obtain assistance before service is discontinued. We also make referrals to government or local social service agencies.
